Panasonic TV: Brings High 2D And 3d Performance

Avatar, Alice in Wonderland and ToyStory 3 are among the hit 3d movies that brought audiences in unheard-of numbers into the movie theaters in 2010. 3D flicks have been about since the 1950s – do any of you remember The Creature From the Black Lagoon? But now we are seeing the development of 3D from the film house to the patrons home. 3D television is poised to make a heavy impact on the entertainment landscape and as more 3D content becomes available, the next frontier in home entertainment will provide the customer with unusually high performance and a novel experience in home entertainment.

Panasonic is the industry and technology leader in Full HD 3D televisions and is perfectly positioned to steer the way into 3D in-home entertainment, as shown by the TC-P50VT25 being voted Best in show at the 2010 electronics show. Additionally, the technology developed by Panasonic to insure Full HD 3D with no crosstalk and to provide immersive 3D programming has the additional advantage of improving an already glorious 2D Plasma picture.

This brilliant 2D picture was recently recognized by the influential CNET site and distinguished researcher Rob Enderle, both of whom feted the VT25s up to the minute 2D picture standard. CNET has habitually given the VT25 its highest marks and said that the set has the best picture standard of any TV they have tested. Enderle chose the VT25 Full HD 3D as his product of the week. Panasonichas done the most to eliminate glare and assure the quality of the video image for both 2D and 3D content, wrote Enderle. This is important, because if you are buying a TV this year, you are buying it for 2D,
Not 3D, given there is very small non-gaming content yet. In brief you dont get a television this year for 3D, you buy for 2D- and this line is excellent for 2D, with 3D being a potential plus.

In order to assure the pristine 3D picture standard, Panasonic engineers were challenged to develop a Plasma television with a very fast refresh rate. This was accomplished by developing new technologies such as faster acting phosphors. An additional bonus to this revolutionary technology is that in the 2D mode the Panasonic VT25 Plasmas improve the already exceptional motion resolution and decreases phosphor lag. Now resolution remains 1080 lines no matter whether the image is static or in motion.
