Nikon Coolpix S8100, Amazing camera And HD Vid camera

I researched this Nikon Coolpix S8100 camera against the Canon Powershot SD4500 IS (aka IXUS 1000). That camera replaces my previous Canon Powershot Sd750 A digital Elph. The SD750 was a fine camera and served me well. Nevertheless it really was inadequate for any decent picture recording. But I was very familiar with the Canon menus and design, and enjoyed the layout and appearance and feel of the Canon. In the terminate, I went with the Coolpix S8100 over the Canon SD4500 for a couple of key reasons: First, the research and reviews indicated the fact that Canon may be better suited for video recording however Nikon holds the edge for your photography. And the Canon menus were supposedly better navigable ın comparison to the Canon.

Here are my first images: The very-lightly rubberized/texturized feel of the Nikon is better than the Canon. This camera feels as being a robust, serious, all-business professional camera, vs. Canon feels more like a lovely, artsy, fun, weekender camera. I got the Nikon in the red finish, which looks absolutely amazing together with gorgeous. The menus are very easy navigate, and I felt right at home. I did not feel like I was missing out from having switched to the Nikon, from your Canon. The backlighting feature is amazing – I had created taken countless indoor portrait pictures with my old Canon that were no good because of backlighting (this is in the event the subject appears all “black” or washed out/shadowed while you take the picture near a window with sunlight come together, indoors). The video recording is highly, very nice, and full 1080p, surely. I purchased a Lexar Class 10 SDHC 32GB 133x write speed card ($75) for the memory card. The 10x optical zoom is solely amazing – it presents a huge chance for weekend and fun photography.

The important things I mind, but can live together with (cons): While you are recording online video media, you can *definitely* hear (and it should get recorded) the sound of the contact motor, especially if you are zooming in/out entirely. But it’s not the end from the world or a showstopper. If there does exist other sound that is part within your recording, you will be fine. style NO OTHER sound (it’s a calm recording), then yes, if you will be zooming in/out, you will hear in which, when you play back your saving.

I also bought a spare electric and separate charger, so I do not have to “tie up” the Nikon Coolpix S8100 in get to charge a battery.
