usb drive update
Have you seen a Missing Hard drive?
My computer came with two drives: D and C and the D drive is not showing anywhere..
I recently re-installed windows xp home edition and I formatted this drive because it had another xp installed [partition]
Now that I have windows installed again I can’t see the D drive in My computer nor in the ‘disk management’ section and i don’t know what to do.
I tried re-installing the motherboard drive and all the usb drive updates, and I tried “device manager” but still no luck.
I also have a usb HD and the computer is not reconizing it either (it doesn’t show on My Computer window..) but it does in the ‘disk management’ section but not as “healthy” and it gives me the option of create a new partition or unistall…
any ideas on how to fix this? I need my computer back!
ohh.. youre right. But if thats the case how do I make it recognize the USB drive?
on ‘disk management’ i can only see the C drive and it doesnt let me format it
You don’t have two hard drives, and never did. It was one hard drive partitioned into two. I’m thinking you didn’t format your D partition correctly, and corrupted it.
In “Disk Management”, just format the D partition again, and it should be back to normal.
